Hi Mr. Singer,

I wanted to say thank you for speaking yesterday at my first Generation WOW. After hearing you speak, I still want to be an astronaut, but definitely some type of engineer as well. I hope to some day attend maybe NYU or Duke to name two. Since I'm only in seventh grade, I've got some time, but I'm still continuing to do my community service, and working hard at my new school Bolles. I hope we can keep in touch since my mom is s single parent, and doesn't make much money right now. I will definitely need scholarships. I plan to put my best foot forward, moves grades up, and read your book. FYI, I love the player vs. potential concept. I think I'm a little of both right now. Well thank you again and have a great year.

Best always,
Taylor Richardson, aka astronaut StarBright

Dear Rick,

Can you believe it? We just dropped William off at the University of Texas, Austin. He is quickly adjusting to life as a Longhorn, and has already pledged a fraterity. He literally could not be happier. The University of Texas is so competitive for out of state students, and none of this would have ever been possible without your help and guidance. We could not be more proud of the man that William is becoming.
Thanks again for all your help.

Best always,
Kacy Rozelle

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the thank you note, but it is we who should be thanking you. Your vision, generosity and trust in DePaul made it possible for seven students to experience people and a part of the world that they would probably otherwise not have. After Prague, Krakow and a lot of other places, student thinking about history, politics, nationhood, human nature, art, morality, religion and religious traditions is now grounded in a much richer sense and knowledge of humanity and human history. You made it possible for several students to understand and appreciate their familial background in new ways. You also made it possible for Alexei and me to spend extended periods of time with seven interesting students, getting to know them and having them getting to know us ---- for better and for worse. For next summer – there are people talking about Israel. I am not sure of any details. Decisions will be made in the Fall. Finally, Alexei and I know each other a lot better. And we are grateful to you. Thanks.
I hope to see you in one of your future passes through Chicago.

Best wishes,
Jim

Dear Rick and Mikaela,

These past few days Mitchell and I got to explore a little bit of NYU and New York City. We both truly cannot thank you enough for everything. This is more than a dream come true for us and we are beyond excited for this incredible and unbelievable opportunity you have given us. I am so excited to study at the library that we wrote about in the personal statement!!
Thank you so so much again from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,
Natalie Shevchenko

Rick,

I somehow made it through the University of Chicago. My mother reminded me of the time you came to visit me on campus early on when I was having a rough time. I remembered with tears in my eyes desperately wanting to come home. First, I would like to thank you for not only taking the time to come talk with me, but for convincing me it was time to grow up and I could make it through if I truly wanted to. I did extremely poorly freshman year and didn't realize how important this school would be for my future. Speaking with you kept me at U Chicago, and I am forever grateful.
Secondly, I want to share something my dad always said about you. He said that you were an accelerator. If a student was going 50 mph already, you could speed them up to 75. You were clearly able to do a lot for me, but this analogy made it clear that you weren't going to do it for me. You gave me the tools to succeed, but what I did with those tools is what allowed me to get to 75. This is when it all came together for me.
As you predicted, U Chicago was a great fit for me. The social atmosphere in Chicago helped me to get to exactly where I wanted to go. The competitiveness of the other students began to sharpened my game. Knowing I had my family's and your support gave me the courage to compete with these kids. Sophomore year I figured it out, and realized how possible it really was. I never looked back, and finished with the best econ GPA of all the football guys in my year.
Finally, we always talked about working on Wall Street, and now I couldn't be more excited to begin my journey there. I am truly grateful for everything you have done for my family and me.
Thank you again for everything you do and have done. It made a huge difference in my life.

Forever grateful,
Paul Comet

Dear Rick,

I hope all is well with you. A quick note to let you you you know that Matt is graduating from Georgetown University. He will take two classes this summer before receiving his diploma.
Many thanks to you for helping to guide him to the place where he grew up.

Warm regards,
Michael Wiener

Hi Rick,

Wanted to let you know that Griffin walked for his doctorate in Chemistry (Surface Science and Catalysis) last Saturday. He is pictured here with his advising professor Gabor Samorjai. Thank you again for your strategy in making sure he got into Berkeley over 9 years ago!
When you get a moment, if you could also contact our niece, Alicia, to advise her on NYU Medical School vs. University of Vermont, we would greatly appreciate it.

Best always,
Gail Kennedy

Dear Rick,

I can't believe this! I have been speechless and in disbelief all morning! This would have been absolutely impossible without you and Mikaela! There are simply not enough words to describe how truly grateful and appreciative I am for absolutely every minute that you have spent on my essay/ application as well as answering all my questions. I can't believe that the possibility of Mitchell and I moving to New York to study at this renowned institution and train in dance can be a reality! Thank you so so so much!!!!

Sincerely,
Natalie Shevchenko

Mr. Singer,

Thank you for everything you and your team did for me during the college application process. I don’t know what would I have done without your help. I ended up applying to 14 colleges, and was accepted at 11 of them. I ultimately chose Boulder University because I fell in love with the campus, and I think it has an academic level that I will be able to handle, which was one of your biggest pieces of advice for me. As you will recall my academic situation made this a delicate balance because of the classes I needed to take, but never had the time to. So instead of me having to study 5 years at the university due to my lack of preparation for business, Boulder University is allowing me to study for 4 years in their pre-business to full business program. I’m so happy and excited to go to Boulder! My dad is already looking for apartments in Boulder to have an excuse to come and visit me. My mom is already crying, and one of my little brothers is already moving into my bedroom. Thank you once again for everything, you have no idea how much I appreciate what you did for me.

Hi Rick,

How are you? Tess received her official "March Through The Arch" T-shirt last night - what a thrill! I just wanted to thank you again for not only your help, but your kindness, strength and patience. We were not your easiest clients with all our ups and downs and all arounds and I am so very grateful to you for sticking by our side through all of it. I have passed your info onto a few people (my brother and sister-in- law included). As you can imagine you are a hero to us as well as all who love Tess and have been watching her life and dreams unfold.... Thanks again for everything.

All my very best,
Terry

Dear Rick,

I hope your Holidays and New Year went well! I wanted to thank you immensely for all the work you did with me last year. You were invaluable during my college process and I'm so grateful for all the help you were able to provide for me. I truly believed you were the single most helpful person I've worked with this entire time. I can't even begin to thank you enough.

Looking forward to more great results this year too!
Trevor Wise

Dear Rick,

Without your help, I could not have gone from pitching at Marin Catholic High School, to my dream of pitching in college at Santa Clara University.

Thank You,
Brandon Buckley

Hey Rick,

I'm sure that you will recognize #42, that's me, and thanks to you and the Key, I'm a proud new Berkeley Bear! You stuck with me and guided my career after my injury, and set the course for me to play college ball. If it weren't for you, I would never have achieved my dream of playing Division 1 football.

Thank You,
Dylan Klumph

Dear Rick,

I'm writing this e-mail today to simply say thank you. I leave for SMU in 30 days, and I could not be more excited about moving to Dallas. I'm positive that I would have never found such a perfect school for me if it wasn't for your guidance. Not only did you help me through the college search and the application processes, you were also able to help me obtain a manager position on the basketball team. I have already met some of the players and other managers, and I am very excited to begin working with all of them. I'm looking forward to staying in touch as I go through my years as a Mustang.

Thank You,
Evan Webb

Hey Rick,

I wanted to thank you personally for all your help in getting me into the University of Texas in Austin, and for helping me secure a managers position with the UT basketball team. And, can you believe it, here is a picture of me with basketball star, Kevin Durrant at the UT Summer Basketball Camp.

Thanks so much,
Michael Chui Schaepe

Dear Rick,

We want to thank you and your great staff for the excellent support you provided to us and, above all, to Laura. It has been a wonderful journey since we started getting help from you and your staff in order to guide and support the tasks Laura had to complete for her applications to college. We have highly appreciated the level of competence and high quality standards of delivering an excellent support to us: looking at Laura getting accepted in most of the colleges she wanted to go and see her deciding to go to CalPoly at SLO, one of her favorite colleges, was the confirmation of a great job done in the past year. We are extremely thankful for what you have done for us. Please extend this message to the whole staff.

Thanks,
Luca, Lodolo and Marilena Russo

Dear Rick,

As you know, I struggled to get good grades while I was attending Jesuit Carmichael High School in Sacramento, but you did not give up on me. You pushed me to take the first step and enroll at Cuesta Community College to move the ball down the field. All through my academic career you were there for me. Coaching me, taking my game to the next level. You worked your magic to get me into my dream school, NYC, and now, look at me... straight A's at NYU!! I could not have accomplished my goals and achieved my dreams without you and the Key.

Many thanks,
Nathan Frank

Dear Rick,

Thought you should know that Grant received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accountancy from USC last weekend, and achieved all that in only 4 years. He starts at Deloitte in September in their L.A. office. One of your students does good!

Regards,
Van Dukeman

Hi Rick,

Thank you for helping Victoria reach her dream of playing for USC! We could not have done it without you.

Best wishes,
Lainie Garrick

Hi Rick,

Sarah Lawrence College had an event on Monday for incoming Freshman. Laurel, Sami, Matt and I spent the day there. As we were leaving, I asked Sami how she was feeling … she said “it feels perfect”.

Thanks again Rick!,
Whitley

Hi Rick,

I can't say thank you enough. My team spent most of the evening discussing the incredible value you delivered. Our CFO, Casey is interested in speaking with you further about his daughter. I know you can help them as well.

Thanks again,
Rick Nelson, CEO Direct Technology

Hi Rick,

Hope all is well. Just wanted to let you know that Alexa was awarded the presidential scholarship at USC. She was also accepted to the Ross school at Michigan and offered a $11,000 a year scholarship as well as being offered $10,000 a year at Claremont with a chance for a full tuition award. She was also accepted to UCLA and UCSB. I wanted to thank you for all your help and guidance through this arduous process. I'll let you know the final decision when we have one, and when you have some time in the near future, I hope to talk to you about our son who is starting high school.

Thanks again,
Laura

Rick and the Key,

As you know, MIT decisions came out early this morning. I wanted to let you know that I got in! It's both a blessing and a curse, because now I actually have to choose a school…
I wanted to thank you for all the work you and your team have done to help me and make the college application process smooth and stress-free. I see my friends who are struggling to keep track of every form and deadline and it makes me so grateful to have your help.

Thank you so much for all you do,
Clara

Rick and the Key,
I walked in Sean's room and he was wearing his USC gear. He walked up to me with a huge smile and crossed-off the last item on a list he created in the fifth-grade. "Play at a Division 1 college." Thank you all of your help. You have made a huge difference in our family and we are forever grateful.
K (Sean’s Dad)

The Key does great work. Here is Peter graduating with an MFA from UMASS Boston today. George and I were reminiscing tonight about an intervention with Rick Singer and Pete in our living room his junior year of high school. You nudged him forward. Now he is off to a PhD at UNR. THANKS! We appreciate your role in his life. - Dianne

You were the first coach who really pushed me farther than I thought I could go but also believed that I could go on to play in college. I played on the 1991 NAIA National Championship team at Georgetown College (KY). I double majored in English and Communication Arts. I live outside of Ashland, Kentucky with my wife Kristen and my two boys, Ford (5) and Shepard (2). I am a teacher at a Day Treatment Center for at-risk youth. Now I teach English and Social Studies and I coach football and started helping out with basketball. I wanted to thank you for your commitment to us, your intensity, drive, and desire to make us better. Thank you for your belief in our future even though many of us had no support at home - you were there saying it was possible. Thanks, Mike

Hey Rick and the Key,

I wanted to check in and tell you I'm currently in pre-pre-production to direct a 25 minute short film I wrote. Both of my actors and my cinematographer are Chapman folks. Because of them my vision is becoming a reality. With your coaching and persistence I was able to make my experience at Chapman an enormously valuable one. I'm extremely grateful for this: thank you for helping me follow my dream. Hope you, your family and the program are doing terrific.

Best,
Tyler Bolinger

Rick and the Key,

Although a good student, Aliyah has never been as excited about school as she is at Syracuse University. First semester we had some trepidation. This was the first time since kindergarten that Aliyah walked into a situation new and alone. In the past she went to school with relatives, friends, teammates etc. This year there would be none of that. Also, because of the timing of her acceptance and as a transfer student it prevented her from getting into any of the dorms on campus. Therefore, she got an off campus apartment. Being an athlete and lonely, Aliyah found solace in the gym. Working out, playing basketball she was able to make friends with some of the players and a trainer from the girls basketball team. Aliyah, previously had two major surgeries and two unfulfilled years of college basketball. Aliyah, who thought her basketball career was over was encouraged to interview for the girl's basketball team manager by the trainer. Shy Aliyah had a great interview and was offered the job as one of the team's mangers. One of the advantages being part of the team, she was allowed to workout in their gym where she caught the coach's eye. As a result she was offered a position as a player on the team. While new #12 has been red-shirted per NCAA rules this year, she is however, allowed to practice and sit on the bench during games. She is looking forward to next year when she will be playing Division One basketball for Syracuse University as a senior. This has been a dream come true for her. Whereas, all of this is great, we are extremely proud of her continued commitment to education excellence. The semester ended with her earning a 3.67gpa. She is committed and confident that she will continue to excel and maximize her time at Syracuse University as a scholar/athlete thereby preparing herself for success in the future. Rick, Syracuse University would not have been possible without your help and for that we are grateful. Again, just wanted to give you a quick update and say thanks.

Sincere thanks,
Mike and Tracy Parris
